Mboko says that Raila is within his rights to meet and have discussions with other politician's.

Speaking to journalist's at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on Tuesday, the vocal ODM MP said that Raila is not offending anyone by meeting with retired top politicians.

She said that the former prime minister is on a mission to unite the country and that he should be left alone.

“Critics should stop bothering Raila Odinga because he is within his constitutional right when he decides to meet with top politician's he chooses,” she said.

Mboko also said that Raila’s meetings and handshakes are anchored on uniting the country and not 2022 succession politics as it is being speculated.

The ODM MP asked politician's across the divide to support Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta as they seek to unite the country.

She said that it is not time for politicians to play political games,  adding that unity and peace are what matters most.

Raila has been on the spot with a section of politician's accusing him of using handshakes to campaign and lobby for 2022.

A section of politicians allied to deputy president is accusing Raila of trying to sabotage Ruto’s 2022 bid.

Last week, Raila met with former president Mwai Kibaki.

Before meeting Kibaki, Raila met and held talks with retired president Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarak home.

Prior to meeting Kibaki, Raila met former Kiambu governor William Kabogo and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.

On March 9, Raila met with President Uhuru Kenyatta at Harambe House where the two top leaders agreed to unite the country.

Raila-Uhuru meeting resulted in the now-famous handshake that continues to elicit reactions across the political divide.
