Likoni MP Mishi Mboko has assured NASA supporters that the journey to ‘Canaan’ will not stall.
Mboko says that the journey to a reformed nation that respects the rule of law is on course and that there is no need for supporters to despair.
Addressing Likoni Town residents on Tuesday, the ODM MP said that plans to swear in NASA leader Raila Odinga are on top gear.
She dismissed claims that Raila is afraid of being sworn in as president, stating that the delay has been as a result of more consultation on how to approach the issue.
“Raila’s swearing-in is on course and I can assure you (supporters) that we will reach the promised land ‘Canaan’ soon,” she said.
Mboko said that where it has reached Raila and NASA can never give up. “We have fought all through and it will be unfair if we gave up on our mission to reform our country,” she said.
The ODM MP urged supporters to be upbeat and prepare for Raila’s presidency. She dismissed Jubilee government warning over Raila’s swearing-in stating that it does not hold waters.
Mboko said that NASA has interpreted the law and Jubilee warning is an empty threat that will not hinder the journey for reforms.
NASA says that plans for Raila’s inauguration set for early next year are complete.
The former Prime Minister push for swearing-in seems to be on course following the return of his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka who has been in Germany for nearly three months.
Kalonzo arrived in the country on Wednesday morning alongside his wife Pauline Musyoka who has been receiving specialized treatment in Germany.
