Kesses Member of Parliament Dr. Swarup Mishra has donated a carwash machine worth Sh80, 000 to youths from Barekeiywo village, Tarakwa Ward.
Mishra said the machine will help the youths earn a living and stop waiting for white collar jobs which are scarce."During the electioneering period I promised to empower youths financially through helping them start projects that will give them income and this is just but one of them," said the MP."My aim is to ensure that youths have something small to do which will help in reducing insecurity and drug abuse. I am looking forward to working with all youths from all spheres," he added. The MP further urged youths in his constituency to join cooperatives which will help them to get funds from both the National and County government."I want to call upon youths to refrain from the norm that cooperatives are meant for the old but instead join them because they will be able to access loans at low interests that will help them improve their livelihoods," Dr. Mishra noted. He challenged the youths in his constituency to apply for the 30 percent tenders set aside for women, people with disability and youths. To be the first to get updates on breaking and trending news in Kenya, send your Whatsapp number to 0740949990.
