Nyatoro Wanjau has been missing for the last six days only to be found killed and dumped. The area MP Alice Ng’ang’a had earlier this week convened a meeting with the area Police officers and Administrators to ensure they get a permanent solution to the insecurity issue in Thika.

According to the deceased grandson James Mwaura, 16 who noticed the body said that he had gone to fetch water at a nearby borehole and on return he noticed a sack hidden between banana plants which raised his curiosity.

Mwaura told the Police that he decided to unveil what was in the sack and that is when the neighbours heard him scream from the Shamba and ran to his rescue only to find the body of the missing elderly hidden in a sack.

He said that the deceased was living with him alone and she never had an argument or disagreement with any Villager until she mysteriously met her fate.

Thika East OCPD Daniel Chacha confirmed the incident and said that the deceased had severe injuries on her head.

“The injuries on the deceased body is clear indication that she was hit using a blunt object which could have led to her death. She also had been cut on the neck,” confirmed OCPD Chacha.

He added that Police have launched investigations to get to the bottom of the matter and discover what could have caused the sudden death of the woman.

OCPD Chacha gave a stern warning to criminals in the area who cause discomfort to the public that their days are numbered and they should soon identified and arrested.

The woman’s body was taken to Thika Level Five Hospital Mortuary, awaiting postmortem examination.
