A man who had gone missing for three days was on Friday found dead in his house in Igare, Sameta Sub-county, Kisii County.According to Nyamagwa sub location Assistant Chief Mr Donald Aiko, the deceased had been missing from his home for the last three days. The body of the 25 year old man was discovered at 6.00 a.m. yesterday morning."We received a report from Mr Justine Otundo's neighbours that he had been found lying unresponsive in his house," said MD Aiko. The body had several visible stab wounds on the back of the head and torso. There were no bloodstains or signs of struggle at the scene of the discovery.Police suspect he was killed elsewhere and then dumped in his house."We suspect that the killers were known to the deceased since they moved his body to the house after committing the act. There were no bloodstains at the scene and nobody heard any commotion in the house to indicate the deceased was in danger or raising an alarm in a bid to save himself," said Kisii County Police Commander Ms Agnes Mudambi. She said the neighbours were also suspects in the case since none of them reported seeing or hearing the body being brought to the house."We are yet to understand how the body could have been dumped in the house without anyone having seen or heard the killers moving around the homesteads," Ms Mudambi said.Assistant Chief Mr Aiko said the deceased was a car wash attendant who worked at Igare Shopping Centre."He was a single man who lived in deplorable conditions as his house did not have furniture, a door or windows. We found him lying on an old mattress on the earthen floor, covered with a blanket" said Mr Aiko. Prior to his death, he had not been seen at his residence.Police from Sameta Police Station who were called to the scene moved his body to Nyamache Sub-county Hospital morgue.Ms Mudambi said her officers were investigating the incident. No suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing.
