Miwani location which has been administratively in Kisumu East Sub County has now been transferred officially to Muhoroni Sub County. Muhoroni MP Onyango Koyoo who presided over a function to officially welcome back Miwani to his sub county says his people are now under one roof. Miwani has been politically in Muhoroni Sub County but administratively in Kisumu East Sub County affecting smooth operations in the area. Koyoo said it was difficult for him to carry out developments in regard to security in Miwani since it was located in Kisumu East. “I am happy that the government has finally gazetted the transfer of my Miwani people from Kisumu East to Muhoroni sub county,” he said. He said now that Miwani has been transferred to Muhoroni he will work closely with the security apparatus in the area to boost security. Speaking at Nehema centre in his constituency during a ceremony to hand over Miwani location to Muhoroni Sub County, Koyoo said he has a security vote in CDF which he will utilize to ensure police station and police posts in Miwani are rehabilitated. Muhoroni Sub County Commissioner Solomon Abwaku welcomed residents of Miwani to the Sub County noting that service delivery will now be efficient. Abwaku said services will now be centralized for Muhoroni constituency residents in one place for easy service delivery. Ends.
