There was a mixed reaction on social media as Bomachoge Borabu parliamentary aspirant Patrick Riang’a accused Egesa Fm presenter Nana Angel of being used by current Member of Parliament Joel Onyancha to tarnish his name.
In a facebook post, Patrick accused some of the presenters in a local media station of demanding money from him so that they can pass a message of “goodwill” for him to their local listeners.
“Some Egesa FM Presenters led by Nana Angel are being used by Joel Onyancha to taint my name. Others are even asking for 200K to "protect" me” reads the post.
Reacting to the post, Nana who is a presenter at Egesa Fm said she has never received any money from the current member of parliament Joel Onyancha nor has she demanded any money from Riang'a to give him more “publicity”.
“In the past few days I have been I a tussle with Patrick and he has been accusing me of being used by their area Member of Parliament of which is false” she added.
"I will teach you a small lesson which will impact negatively on you. You are misusing your power. Have been discussed negatively for a while at Egesa but now you are taking it personally," said Nana.
"Tell them that you know it's true no one can ask for money from you. Not even 20 shillings” she added.
Though their followers called upon them to solve the matter out of the social media so that they can still have a long lasting relationship.
When contacted Patrick Riang’a said he is looking into solving the issue between him and some of the Egesa FM presenters.
