Followers of Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho have expressed mixed reactions after he received a certificate of appointment as a co-president of the 21st Century Maritime Co-operation Committee in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China.
Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi received the appointment certificate on behalf of Joho, on May 17, during the 1st 21st Century Maritime Co-operation Committee meeting.
The committee seeks to re-establish trade and investments routes of cities and local governments of Asia-Pacific, Southeast, South Asia and Africa through the Maritime Silk Road.
