Mount Kenya University will on Friday host a finalist training programme to equip final year students with tips on how to hack the job market.
The training is scheduled to take place at the institution’s main hall from 9am to 5pm.
According to Wilson Mbugua, one of the event organisers who is also a lecturer in the department of Journalism and Mass Communication, the seminar will be of great help to the students as some of the topics to be covered are not taught in class.
He said some of the training topics are CV writing, the interviewing process, job searching, workplace etiquette among others.
“We are sure we will make a difference in the students’ lives as the training will give them something more exclusive than what they have been learning. This is also a life skill very rare to find in other higher learning institutions,” Mbugua said.
The event will be facilitated by a career advisory and advancement department. Motivational speaker Grace Wanjohi will also be sharing her message.
