Business is booming in most cyber cafes in Mlolongo as children flock them to play computer games this April holiday.
Dot Com Cyber Cafe in the town has not been left behind, the proprietor, George Kamau, told the press that the business peaked after schools were closed for the holiday.
Kamau revealed he had been forced to purchase more computers in order to meet the increasing demand and maintain other services which the business offers.
"I have learnt that children from this town love playing computer games, this has forced me to add 20 more computers due to increasing numbers of children clients," said Kamau.
He said he has been receiving an average of 200 children since Monday, a situation he termed as, "cool business," during the Easter holidays.
Kamau argued that the games make children become very active and creative and expose them to the digital world at a tender age given that they also familiarise themselves with computers and their accessories while they play.
He said most of the children who sought the games at the cyber were boys, but maintained that even girls should be encouraged to have a passion for computers.
Kamau called on parents to encourage and support their children who have a passion for computers so as to become more efficient in computer applications and manipulations.
