A construction worker has fallen from a storey building in Mlolongo after being electrocuted on touching a nearby transformer.
The unidentified man, who was painting the building, had to wait for about 20 minutes to be taken to Mlolongo Medical Centre in a serious condition.
Bernard Nandwa, who witnessed the Thursday morning incident, said the construction has been running for months, despite the danger.
“The construction has been ongoing for the last four months oblivious of the danger,” Nandwa said.
The man’s fellow workers at the site were angry after the incident, especially after the owner of the building failed to ‘come out’ and provide a vehicle to take their colleague to hospital.
The building is located on Beijing Road.
