A middle-aged man was beaten to death by mob in Kivani area, Kangundo sub-county, Machakos county after he allegedly cut off his brother's arm over money.
"It was during a dowry ceremony in their home when the two brothers disagreed on the money that was given at the occasion when one known as Mbai Nzomba fetched a panga and attacked his brother," said a neighbour who refused to be identified.
"He actually thought his brother was just scaring him until he lost his arm, the suspect ran for his life after committing the crime," he added.
The injured man was rushed to Kangundo level four hospital for treatment as irate residents searched every nook and cranny for his brother.
This incident was confirmed by Kangundo OCPD Simon Rotich who said the man had already lost his life when the police arrived at the scene.
The body of the man was taken to Kangundo hospital mortuary.
