Telkom Kenya has since Tuesday rebranded its identity as part of a larger bid to sharpen its competitive edge.
The is in line with their agreement made when a private equity firm Helios bought majority stakes in the company in 2016.
Telkom CEO Aldo Mareuse said that the company is now ready to start working to be a formidable force in the sector.
"It's fair to say Telkom Kenya has not received its full potential," he said.
He said the company would work on expanded investments in the network infrastructure.
The firm has now dropped the Orange name and taken Telkom as its new business name.
It has similarly shed the old Orange corporate colour and picked the blue and yellow colours.
