Reports emerged on social media that the former ODM member was forced to leave a Nyamira hotel early following demands by supporters allied to Mr Nyambati after the duo launched JAP offices in Nyamira.

In an exclusive telephone interview with this reporter on Wednesday, Mochama termed the reports ‘fictitious’ and accused Jubilee opponents of propagating ‘unnecessary’ rumor.

“I attended the meeting at Guardian Hotel and I even addressed Jubilee supporters. The reports being circulated are fictitious and should be avoided by the people of Nyamira,” he said.

“Nyambati and I are in Jubilee and we presided over launching of JAP offices as a team. I wasn’t manhandled as our opponents are saying. We are one team and all our supporters restrained from unnecessary political intrigues,” he added.

He said minor political differences had no space in Jubilee government and insisted that all gubernatorial contestants in the ticket will support the eventual winner in party primaries easily next year.

“As Jubilee, we respect the party guidelines and no one is ready to de-campaigning one another in the gubernatorial race. We will peacefully go for primaries and whoever wins the ticket will be fully supported because we want to deliver to the people of Nyamira. I respect Nyambati and I believe he respects me too so no fracas was experienced,” Mochama added.
