Aspiring governor and also finance adviser to world bank Charles Mochama has promised to transform Nyamira County if elected governor.
Speaking in Nyamira County while addressing Jubilee supporters, Mochama promised to create employment opportunities for the youth and empower women economically.
"My dear loyal people of Nyamira, this county is rich in terms of resources, some of which have not been harnessed and I promise to ensure our youths get employment opportunities and also women are empowered economically," said Mochama.
Mochama further said that the county has been tarnished with corruption and nepotism in awarding employment positions, something he said his government will not tolerate.
"County governments were created to empower our people, but Nyamira county is tarnished by corruption and nepotism but if I am elected governor, I will deal with such ruthlessly," added Mochama.
