On Thursday, club’s Secretary General Ferdinand Ogot said that the players were released following wide consultations among members of the management.
Former Sofapaka striker Rashid Benjamin Asuman is among seven players set to leave the club following the new development.
The Congolese striker joins the National Super League side two years ago on loan but he struggled to get play time in the team for the two-year stint at the club.
Other strikers set to join other clubs from Rangers are Abdala Mdeka and Ibrahim Wanga.
The club has also announced the departure of midfielder Abdul Maina, defenders Naftali Orawo Amayo, Hamisi Mwichande and Kevin Owino. Ogot also told the press that the club intends to make changes in its technical bench for a better season.
The club is expected to switch to Bomu grounds in Changamwe following renovations. The team has been playing its home ground matches at the KPA Mbaraki Sports Club before the renovations at the new pitch.
