Nyali MP Mohammed Ali has hinted on returning to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party.
The former investigative journalist who quit the Raila Odinga led party after losing in the party nominations in the run up to last year's gegeneral election, says that the Orange Party is in his heart and blood.
Speaking in Nyali Town on Saturday, Ali said that he respects the Orange Party, noting that Raila Odinga remains political godfather and mentor.
Ali said that Raila convinced him to quit his job as a journalist and venture into politics, adding that he left the party after feeling shortchanged during the nominations.
"I hold the Orange party dear to my heart and respect Raila Odinga because he made me the politician I am today," he said.
The former investigative reporter said that he has no ill feelings against the party, adding that he is often in communication with Raila Odinga.
" I consider myslef an ODM member and no one knows, I could return their as we head to future elections, " he said.
Ali ditched the Orange party after losing in the nomination for the Nyali Parliamentary seat.
The former investigative reporter claimed that the Orange party allegedly favoured Governor Hassan Joho's cousin Said Abdalla in the nomination.
Ali contested for the seat as an independent candidate emerging the winner to clinch the Nyali seat.
Last week, Mombasa High court dismissed a petition that had been filed challenging Ali's election.
The court ruled that the MP was validly elected and that the petitioner's suit lacked merit.
