Nyali MP hopeful Mohamed Ali has urged residents and Kenyans to make wise decisions on August 8.

Speaking during a meet the people tour in Nyali on Thursday, the former investigative journalist asked residents to make informed choicesby voting for leaders who will push for development.

Ali said that resident’s especially young people hold their destiny in their hands and they will have no one to blame if they elect wrong leaders on August 8.

The Nyali MP hopeful said that Kenyans have been ‘played’ by politicians for a long time adding that time has come for them to show the political calls that they are no longer naïve.

‘‘I want to appeal to Kenyan voters to make wise and informed choices on August 8 because whatever they choose will decide their destinies for next five years,’’ he said as quoted by the People Daily.

Ali asked resident to back his bid saying he will be the voice of the voiceless. The MP hopeful stated that he understand the challenges common residents are facing in their daily lives.

He added that his leadership will focus on empowering the marginalized groups. The former investigative reporter also promised to push for job creation and inclusion of marginalized groups into the running of county administration affairs.

Ali is contesting as an independent candidate after losing the ODM ticket to Said Abadalla.
