[Photo: Facebook]Nyali MP and former KTN investigative journalist Mohammed Ali has blamed the Mombasa based journalists and media for what he has termed as 'misreporting him'.This follows reports that Ali who was elected on an independent ticket but has been aligned to NASA coalition, had jumped ship and aligned himself with Jubilee Party. The MP who is also known as 'Moha Jicho Pevu', however, could not confirm or reject whether he had joined Jubilee when a local media house asked him to 'clear the air' on Monday evening."What happened today was mature politics. The media twisted everything. The president visited my constituency and as a Member of Parliament, I chose to attend because it is mature politics," Ali told NTV's Press Pass Show.Ali added that Nyali residents have been suffering a big deal because former MP Awiti Mboro was neither in good terms with the county and the national governments."As an Independent Member of Parliament, my responsibility is first and foremost to the people of Nyali, who elected me. The people of this constituency need jobs, better healthcare and education for their children, and a hope for the future," he added.Ali has been a fierce critic of Jubilee government and its leadership and news that he had shifted his allegiance to the same administration he had so many 'bones to pick with' while a journalist, was received with shock especially on social media where he trended for hours.
