Nyali MP Mohammed Ali has promised to change the way the National Assembly conducts its affairs in a bid to achieve a fair representation of Kenyans.

Top of his agenda he said would be to introduce Kiswahili as the language of use within the floor of the house noting that as a language Kiswahili deserves a better place.Though rarely, used Kiswahili is one of the languages accepted on the floor of the house, the other being English."I hope to push through serious lobbying so that we can have Kiswahili as the language of use in our parliaments. That way, even our local people deep in the villages can have an idea of what is being talked about", he said.He added that he will also ensure that Kenyans get justice in their day to day activities irrespective of their backgrounds through various legislations that he promised to table in the house." I do not want to simply make promises that all other politicians always make out there. But one thing I can assure Kenyans is that I will stand by justice and ensure they get justice. There are so many Kenyans with hopes on me and I promise I will not let them down ", he said. The celebrated journalist who was speaking on the sidelines of the orientation of new parliamentarians ahead of their swearing in on Thursday added that he hopes to join either the Parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC), the Energy committee or the Transport committee from where he believes he will best carry out his investigative work.
