A secret audio circulating online reveals that legendary investigative reporter Mohammed Ali is supporting reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Before deciding to run as an Independent, Ali lost in ODM primaries in his bid to run for Nyali MP even though he discredited the results.
In the audio, a furious Ali is heard telling a section of his friends that he will rather be comfortable with Uhuru’s win than Raila Odinga.
“This presidential seat I am for Uhuru. Uhuru should be elected president because he has displayed servant leadership.
“His reelection is important and I have no issue if he drinks or steals public money. That is upon him and it is none of our business,” he says.
Quite openly despite supporting Raila Odinga’s bid before, he has already changed tune after losing to Said Abdalla, who is believed to be Mombasa governor Hassan Joho’s relative.
The dwell let to Ali’s irreconcilable differences with Joho, although the flamboyant governor has kept off the issue by avoiding commenting on it.
