Nyali MP Mohammed Ali visited Kongowea lights area where he met with the conductors and majority youth who hustle at the Kengeleni gardens on Saturday.
He listened to their plights such as lack of opportunities and harassment from police.
Ali promised them that he would look into the issue to bring an end to police harassment.
He also assured them that their interests were catered in his blueprint and they would get a chance to go back to school and acquire technical skills which will boost their employability once Nyali Sub-county's "Ujuzi mashinani" programme is launched.
The Independent MP also interacted with the roadside traders who were affected by the KeNHA demolitions ahead of the dualing of the Mombasa-Malindi road project.
Mohammed Ali assured them that talks were ongoing to see they are compensated.
