Bomet residents have been lauded by Baringo senator Gideon Moi for making a ‘right’ choice by electing under fire Governor Isaac Ruto.
Rutto was reportedly hit with a teargas canister by the police a fortnight ago before jetting to South Africa for treatment.
Speaking on Sunday at Bomet Green stadium, Moi said the county had witnessed tremendous growth due to his commitment towards devolution.
“And I want to tell the people of Bomet that you never made a mistake by electing Ruto. He is the right man for this job and his work has been seen across the region,” he said.
“He is one of the few leaders committed towards making devolution work and as leaders, we should give credit where due. I like the way he does his job,” Moi added.
Rutto is leading rebellion against Deputy President William Ruto who has been undisputed king of the former Rift Valley province.
