Retired president Daniel Moi has asked students to embrace integrity in national exams to avoid cancellation of their results.
Speaking at Moi High Kabarak during the prize-giving day, the former president decried the high number of students whose KCSE results were cancelled on claims of examination irregularities.
"It feels bad when after four years in high school, you end up going home empty handed. I urge you to be cautious with those who bring you leakages. They are putting your hard work at risk", he said on Saturday.
In the 2015 KCSE results, more than 5,000 students were found culpable of examination malpractice where social media was widely used to leak the examination.
Moi congratulated last year's batch of Moi High Kabarak for their splendid performance in the KCSE.
"For the first time in 36 years, you have made your institution proud. Congratulations for your excellent results. Even as you go out there, make a difference in your generation", he added.
The school principal, Elishebah Cheruiyot also lauded the students and asked them to make use of their skills to impact change in the society.
"Its a journey you started few years ago. I assure you its not over. Soldier on and be of significance in everywhere you go", said Cheruiyot.
The school had a mean of 11.67 points where all the 289 students qualified to join public universities.
