The 14-year-old girl suspected to have caused the deadly Moi Girls Secondary School dorm fire that killed nine students risks spending her entire life behind bars if found guilty.
Standing before
High Court judge Luka Kimaru on Wednesday, the form one student however denied the nine counts of murder red to her.
She was accused that of September 1, she murdered nine students at Kabarnet dormitory.
Justice Kimaru conducted the brief proceedings in camera where only lawyers, prosecutors and parents of the girl were allowed.
"This is a child's matter and she is protected under the Children's Act. Let all members of the media get out of the court," ordered the judge.
