Rongai MP Raymond Moi has vowed to ensure that more needy students from the area are beneficiaries of the bursary kitty in order to promote quality education.

While speaking on Saturday at Muhigia Secondary School in Rongai during the opening of the school's administration block, Moi said that education is paramount in development hence need for support.

"We all know the power of education and that is why my CDF office will ensure every child in this area get quality education courtesy of the fund. Education is key and pillar of any society hence it should be given priority,"said Moi.

The Rongai legislator also called on parents to invest more in education of their children as a means of uplifting the sector.

Moi opened the Muhigia administration block which was funded by CDF at a cost of 800,000.

Later on, the Rongai lawmaker issued a Sh1 million cheque to Arutani primary school for renovation. The institution has never received any funding from previous CDF era.
