According to the KANU chairman, the bandit attacks have the potential of spreading into something more serious that cannot be controlled.

“I can tell you that this attacks can spiral into something that cannot be controlled. Am calling on the government to ensure this region has peace,” said Moi.

Moi further accused the government of neglecting the Kerio Valley region by not putting in place enough security measures to curb the bandit attacks.

He was speaking on Sunday in Elgeyo Marakwet during the launch of a senatorial bid by former Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet.

Boinett will be vying on KANU ticket.
