[Photo| Diaspora Messenger]The former Kenya's presidents Daniel Torotich Arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki did not attend president Uhuru Kenyatta's swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, November 28 which was held at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi county. Moi was Kenya's second president who took over power from Uhuru's late father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta in 1978.He ruled for 24 years before handing over to Kenya's third president, Kibaki, in 2002.Kibaki ruled for ten years before Uhuru took over in 2013.The two retired presidents both congratulated Kenyatta after he was re-elected in the October 26 repeat presidential poll. Uhuru's inauguration was attended by thousands of Jubilee supporters, special guests including 2017 best KCPE candidate Goldalyn Kakuya and nine heads of state.
