Retired President Daniel Arap Moi was Thursday discharged from the hospital where he had been receiving treatment.
Mzee Moi had been admitted to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel for a medical check-up on his knee.
A statement from his spokesman explains that the former president will, however, spend the rest of the days visiting holy sites in Israel and the city of Jerusalem as he recovers.
It, however, remains unknown when the Retired President will return back home.
On Wednesday, the Government was forced to issue an urgent statement regarding the wellbeing of the former Head of State and Government after reports emerged on various social media platforms claiming that Mzee Moi had passed on.
The Government through the ministry of Foreign affairs had said; "Ordinarily the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade does not react to misinformation. However, we are forced to clarify that the fake news maliciously circulated by some individuals regarding the well-being of former President Daniel Arap Moi is completely untrue."
Moi was flown to Israel on Sunday, for a routine medical checkup after he developed complication on his knee.
He was accompanied by his personal doctor and his Son, Gideon Moi, Baringo County senator.
