Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has vehemently opposed the decision taken by the National Assembly to pass the controversial election laws.
Speaking on Saturday in Kakemer, the KANU national chairman said that the entire electoral process must be electronic and not manual.
"That is the format of transmitting election results that we want IEBC to adopt. That is the way to go and nothing short of that," the Senator said.
The amendments adopted by the National Assembly in the absence of the opposition Members of Parliament include a manual backup system for voter identification and results transmission and the timeliness for the acquisition of election ICTs.
The changes significantly alter the Elections Laws (Amendments) Act 2016 achieved through a negotiated process between Cord and Jubilee in a Joint-Parliamentary committee.
