President Uhuru Kenyatta will have a tough balancing act to undertake in his efforts to re-organise his administration after being sworn in on Tuesday.

This is after jostling for powerful positions in the new government went a notch higher with KANU making its demands known.

The party which is led by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi said it threw its weight behind Uhuru's reelection in consideration of cabinet appointments.

Through its Secretary General Nick Salat, KANU said Uhuru must keep his promise as he makes radical changes in his Cabinet.

"We are expecting about two Cabinet Secretary, four Principal Secretary and several ambassadorial positions," said Salat.

Sources close to the State House say it is widely expected that only 10 CSs will retain their jobs with more than half of the 40 PSs suffering the same fate.

Cabinet Secretaries likely to be fired are Cleopa Mailu, Raychelle Omamo, Hassan Wario, Judi Wakhungu, Aden Mohamed and Dan Kazungu.

Among the big names expected to be nominated include former Energy CS Davis Chirchir, former Governor Peter Munya and Isaac Ruto and former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar among others.
