Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has extended his war of words with Deputy President William over the ongoing clashes in the Kerio Valley.
The Kanu chair has challenged DP Ruto to exhibit the enthusiasm shown during the voter mobilization exercise in bringing peace in the Rift Valley.
“The enthusiasm we saw during the voter registration exercise, we want to see that enthusiasm to bring peace in this country,” said Moi.
Moi was speaking on Sunday during the launch of the senatorial bid by former Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo in Elgeyo Marakwet.
He was accompanied with Bomet governor Issac Ruto among a host of other Kanu leaders.
Over the recent weeks, clashes have been witnessed in Baringo county where bandit attacks have left a number of people dead.
Om Friday last week, Ruto’s meeting in the region was disrupted by bandits.
He will be heading back to the region on Monday to commission more police reservists in a bid to stop the clashes.
