KANU chairman Gideon Moi is set to formally endorse President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday when the party convenes its National Delegates Convention.

The decision comes barely a week after Uhuru met retired president Daniel Moi in his Kabarnet gardens in Nairobi, a move which is said to have angered Deputy President William Ruto.

And on Monday, West Pokot Senator John Longanyapuo said the party was ready to work with Jubilee after reaching an agreement.

“We met and discussed in length and what remains is formally introducing our supporters to the pact. I am happy that we can work together.

“Obviously we had a few issues but they were ironed out. We need not to focus on elections and probably how to win with a big margin,” said the outspoken senator.

Understandably, KANU will field candidates in all seats available across the country apart from presidency.

Moi, who also doubles as Baringo senator, has been at loggerheads with Deputy President in what is viewed as supremacy battles in the former Rift Valley province.
