KANU chairman says he has absolutely 'no problem' supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection but says he would do so if Kenyatta promises to back him in 2022.
Moi, who also doubles as Baringo senator, has been linked with the National Super Alliance and on Sunday, he attended a huge rally at Bomet.
And on Monday, Moi said his 2022 presidential ambitions were intact adding that he would wor with a candidate who will back his bid.
"I do not have a problem working with Uhuru. He is a personal friend and we have worked before as a team and succeeeded," he said.
Moi added:'He (Uhuru) has to talk directly with the people of Rift Valley and not using brokers. If he too supports my bid, I will do all I can to defend him this year."
President Kenyatta is facing a stiff challenge from a team ed by ODM leader Raila Odinga
A few weeks ago, Uhuru's mother, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, visited retired president Daniel Moi but the details of the meeting were not made public.
