Learning at the Moi University main campus in Kesses is now back to normal after it was paralyzed for over two months following the lecturers strike.
Students have been trickling into the institution ready to study and compensate for the time wasted.
And on Thursday, the university's Senate met and agreed on the new Semester dates which were later communicated to the students.
According to the resolutions reached, the semester began on May 21 and will go up to August 3, 2018.
"The following cohorts, /14, /17 and /18 should be in session for this period. After that, end semester exams will begin from 6th to 17th August," read part of the communication to the students.
Candidates who did their Kenya National Examination (KCSE) and have been successfully selected to join Moi University will be admitted on the 27th of August to start their 1.1 academic years and they will be cohort /19.
Moi University third years who should be in their second semester but are out for holiday will report back to school on September 3, 2018, for their 3.2 and later on proceed for their attachment/teaching practice January 2019.
Incoming fourth years (/15) will report back on a date that shall be communicated later but they are likely to report in the course of this semester.
