The Moi University Council on Friday visited the institution’s school of law to inspect the ongoing projects.

This is after the Council on Legal Education (CLE) ordered the closure of the school for allegedly flouting set regulations leaving many students in confusion over their future.

Speaking after inspection, University Vice Chancellor who is also the secretary to the council Prof Richard Mibei said that the institution’s council and the management are committed to address the matter at hand.

“We are working tirelessly to ensure that all areas raising concerns from the Council on Legal Education are addressed as soon as possible,” said Mibei.

Among the areas that are being addressed are purchasing of moot courts, library, books and employment of lecturers.

Prof Mibei also noted that there is a good progress between the time when the council of legal education visited the institution and now.

CLE has ordered Moi University to close its school of law for failing to meet ‘required’ standards.
