A sombre mood engulfed at the Moi University, Eldoret on Tuesday evening after a fourth-year student was found dead in his girlfriend's house.

It is said that the deceased was stabbed by another student in his girlfriend’s house.

According to sources, the deceased had gone with his friend to visit his girlfriend in her hostel only to find another man, who is said to be the girlfriend's lover, was in her house. The lover is said to have picked a knife and stabbed the other student several times in the stomach.

The deceased died on his way to the hospital and his body was taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret as the suspect was arrested and taken to Langas Police Station.
