The process of getting a new vice chancellor for Moi University has suffered a major setback. This is after UASU rejected results of the  interview, terming the outcome as pre-determinedUASU said on Friday that the process was flawed and marred by bribery and tribalism. Professor Isaac Kosgey for the second time emerged top in the interviews. The union said the results had shocked the country and demeaned the status of the university. Secretary of UASU at the University Professor Jack Abok said Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Laban Ayiro is a clear favorite to head the college. Prof Ayiro and Professor Ann Nangulu were tied second with 70 marks."It's shocking that there are people in the university who can stoop too low in that manner and mess up with such a vital process of a national University," Abok said. Results for other candidates released by the council were as follows: Professor Maurice Amutabi got 66 points, Isaac Kibwage got 64 and Joseph Chacha scored 61. The results have been forwarded to Education CS Fred Matiang'i who will appoint one of the top three.
