Rongai MP Raymond Moi has urged the county government to light up streets and estates in the constituency Speaking to the media at Rongai town on Thursday, Moi said that the area is still in darkness despite promises by the county to install street lights.

The MP said that crime has escalated in many parts of the constituency because there are no street lights.“The Nakuru government should fulfill its promise and light up this area,” he said. Moi said that lighting up the constituency will curb crime and also encourage a 24 hour economy.

He said that the county government is mandated to construct roads and all other infrastructure development. Moi said that the area economy will go up if roads are repaired, streets lighted up, security cameras installed and drainage systems improved.

The Rongai MP on the same note urged Governor Kinuthia Mbugua to spearhead development in the county without discrimination. He alleged that the government was discriminating against some areas on matters development.
