All seems not to be going well between president Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party and Gideon Moi’s Kanu.
This is after the Kanu chief sent a stern warning to Uhuru over allegations his deputy William Ruto is disrespectful to a section of Rift Valley leaders.
Kanu has threatened to withdraw its support for Jubilee and join the opposition side, National Super Alliance (Nasa) if Uhuru will not tame his deputy.
Moi, son to the former president Daniel Arap Moi, is expected to hold a meeting very soon with Uhuru to discuss the behavior of Ruto.
“We are experiencing reckless statements from the Jubilee side which is not safe for the two sides but I am meeting the president in person to discuss the matters,” said Gideon as quoted by the Nation.
Kanu declared support for Uhuru’s re-election bid a few months ago.
