Nyaribari Masaba MP Elijah Moindi has warned politicians across the country aganist politicizing insecurity issues>
Moindi urged politicians not to shift blames to either the government or security agencies.
Addressing journalists in Kisii town, the legislator backed President Uhuru Kenyatta's directive to the Inspector General of Police to ensure the 10,000 new police recruits, whose recruitment was challenged in court, to report for their training at Kenya Police College, Kiganjo.
"As a law maker and elected leader, I have no objection to the President's executive order overruling the High Court decision to have the 10,000 new police recruits report for training," said Moindi.
The legislator observed that if the President needed a legislative backing from the National Assembly to legitimize the order, he should move in swiftly and have that noble cause achieved.
"I am challenging the Government, besides having more security personnel on board, it should also ensure all the porous borders with our neighboring countries have been sealed,” said Moindi adding that this will avert attacks.
