Nyaribari Masaba MP Elijah Moindi has dismissed those who are saying that politicians are poaching voters from one polling center to another.
Moindi said that those who are propagating the matter are cowards that they will lose their seats in the next general election.
“According to the new constitution, any Kenyan is allowed to register where he/she wants to register. For instance, if people can come from Central and register in my constituency willingly without being forced and if people from this place can go and register in Central, for me there is nothing,” said Moindi.
He challenged the national government to allow those with waiting cards to be allowed to register and be given temporary voting cards.
Moindi, who was speaking at Hema secondary school on Friday during a fundraising, urged residents to register as voters for the better change of their constituency and Kisii County at large.
“I urge residents to register in large numbers since the only weapon a resident can have is to register as a voter for the better of change,” said Moindi.
He also hailed all schools for performing well in last year’s examination which made his constituency to be the top in Kisii County.
