Mokwerero MCA Geoffrey Ombui has said that lazy contractors will not be tolerated in his ward.
Speaking when he launched the construction of Rianchore Polytechnic on Thursday, the ward rep stated that he will not sit and watch lazy contractors derail development projects in his ward.
“Contractors who fail to complete tenders in time will not benefit from any tender in my area of administration. Once a contractor has been given a tender he or she should complete the construction works within a stipulated time failure to which no payment will be made,” he said.
He assured residents that he will push the county to allocate more funds to Mokwerero ward to the initiation and launching of development projects in the region.
Ombui called on his political rivals to give him a humble time to deliver to the electorates.
“I am aware that my opponents are not happy about my work but I wish to urge them to support me throughout my tenure and give priority of projects which should be launched and initiated to benefit the electorates,” he noted.
