It was jubilation for Molo Academy fraternity in Nakuru County as the school ‘s headboy emerged among the champions in this year’s KCPE.

Benson Nyabuto Omwenga, 12, scored 420 marks out of the possible 500.He also recorded impressive scores in individual subjects with As in all subjects.

When contacted by this writer from his rural home in Nyamira, Omwenga’s father Josec Nyabuto who was overjoyed said they expected him to do better and lead in the KCPE.

The elated pupil who was among 156 candidates who sat for the examination in the school announced that he would like to become a pilot after high school.

"I am happy and thank the Lord for the results today. I wish to be a pilot later in life," he said.

He added that the results surpassed his wildest dreams. Omwenga said the support from his parents, teachers and fellow candidates helped him to achieve the good results.

"I attribute my success to prayers, hard work, discipline and dedication," he said.
