Led by deputy commissioner Judith Cheruiyot, anybody behind the re-emergence has been advised to quit before they go for them.

Speaking in Mukinyai on Monday after leading raids to different illicit brew dens, Cheruiyot reiterated the fact that she was not going to shy away from nurturing a sober Molo adding that severe consequences would be taken especially to government officers supporting the outlawed trade.

"Let Molo be in the news for positive reasons for once because of late, everything bad in Nakuru is being associated with Molo sub-county, are we proud of what we read, listen to or watch?" she posed.

The admnistrator threatened to spearhead the sacking of other chiefs and their assistants who don't want to cooperate in the fight against illicit brewing arguing that the recently sacked chief was a wake up call for the rest.

"I was personally ashamed with the video of a chief from Molo dead drunk during a presidential state visit.

That was irresponsibility of the highest order for a person holding a public office," she said. More than 300 litres of illicit brew were destroyed with more than 15 people being arrested during the swoop.
