A family in Molo, Treasure estate, is counting loses after a fierce inferno gutted down their home Wednesday night.

Joseph Njogu Karanja, a father of seven, told reporters that he received a phone call from a neighbour while at work.

He said nothing was salvage from the sparks of fire which is suspected to have been caused by an electric fault. 

Efforts by residents to put out the fire werw futile.

Jane Wambui, a resident, appealed government agencies and well-wishers to support the family reconstruct their homes and offer basic needs.

Residents urged Nakuru county government to provide Molo sub-county with a fire fighting engine.
