Molo residents are a happy lot after tarmacking works started on the Molo-Kibunja road.
The 14-kilometre road that connects Molo town and the Nakuru-Eldoret highway has been an eyesore to residents.
Bodaboda riders have been lamenting over the dusty road which left them nursing respiratory ailments.
Several demonstrations had been staged along the road by residents after contractors who won tender to tarmack it stalled works.
Area MP Kuria Kimani had also threatened court action against the contractor questioning why the work was taking too long to complete.
On Thursday, when the contractor started laying the tarmac, residents shared photos of the work.
They said their cry had finally been heard.
