Molo MP Jacob Macharia is a man under siege from a section of residents who accuse him of being a lame duck Member of Parliament.
This came at the backdrop of a report which listed him among honourable members with dismal contributions in the house and coincided with a presidential trip to the region.
President Kenyatta is expected to tour region on Wednesday to commission the construction of Molo-Olenguruone road. While announcing the visit on his official facebook page, Macharia received hostile reception from his constituents.
Agrieved residents accused the legislator of hijacking commissioning of the road by the president to earn political mileage.
"Molo-Olenguruone is in Kuresoi (constituency), tell us about projects in our constituency," Danson Maina said.
Residents accused the MP of being too soft that he hasn't pushed for the construction of Molo-Kibunja and Njoro-Molo road.
"Molo-Kibunja road will haunt you for life," Jim Gatuna said.
However, the MPs supporters told off those critising him.
"You pessimists, when will you ever appreciate something good from the MP? I challenge you all we meet at the ballot in 2017," Samwel Kimani Kinyoro posted.
