Molo MP Kuria Kimani has slammed opposition legislators who are planning to snub the parliamentary obligations among them vetting of Cabinet secretaries and any other positions to be appointed by the president on the premise of illegitimacy.
The youthful Jubilee legislator said the move will flop terribly as the Jubilee party has numerical strength to carry out the duties.
Kimani added that the national assembly carried the election of the speaker and the deputy speaker without much input of the opposition and vowed to discharge their duties to the electorate without being distracted by the Nasa MP's.
“The other time they boycotted and we went ahead and elected Speaker. We have heard plans by them not to participate in the vetting. Let them be assured the work of the assembly will just go on as if nothing has happened,” he said.
The Molo legislator said Kenyans are ready to move on with their lives and that the government is committed to deliver what it had promised to the electorates.
