Days after Nominated Senator Paul Njoroge publicly alluded that the Gema communities might not support William Ruto in 2022, a section of legislators have come out to castigate his remarks.
Molo MP Jacob Macharia referred to the remarks as 'a personal opinion'.
"As the secretary of the Nakuru County Parliamentary Group and a key convener of the Nakuru, Nyandarua and Laikipia Parliamentary group I wish to state that the message given by nominated Senator Njoroge about the suitability of HE William Ruto for presidency in 2022 is his personal opinion and not that of this region," he added.
"As a region we firmly support HE William Ruto for president when 2022 comes and HE Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017,"he added.
Senator Paul Njoroge statement comes weeks after Kiambu governor expressed a similar opinion, a thing that did not go well with Jubilee legislators and supporters.
